Wireless is an ideal technology for those who have point-to-point line-of-sight to our premises. Marketbridge does not compromise on quality. We will make sure that the wi-fi technology we implement is stable and reliable.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Wireless

Advantages

  • No wires.
  • Point one facility to another at up to 100mbps to take advantage of the 2nd facility's Internet access. Save a lot on local loop access.
  • Get on board on a hot growing trend.
  • Point to our facilities around the city for Internet access.
Disadvantages
  • Yearly maintenance to check and adjust antennaes
  • Interference in unlicensed spectrum although careful engineering can help get around this.
  • Pigeons, other birds, snow drifts block the line of sight.
  • Lightening bolt taking out a radio (although rare)
Many organizations use wireless. Some have good experiences and some have bad experiences. Pricing

Pricing can differ quite a bit on wireless. Unlicensed wireless is very inexpensive. Licensed is the exact opposite. Is your organization comfortable with modern refurbished equipment or does it prefer or require new equipment? We have clients running for years on refurbished equipment without failure.

From one building to another building (not our facilities)

With this setup, we simply sell you the solution. You have no access fees because it is wireless. We will offer you a hourly or per diem rate to engineer a wireless solution and deliver a stable service. This solution is great for the following types of customers who have many facilities:

With this setup, the cost will be for the loop and Internet access. Pricing will also depends whether it is licensed or unlicensed.
