Data / Voice Access Services
| DSL Internet Services |
|
DSL technology operates over your existing telephone wire by inserting another frequency on the phone line.
This technology has various versions such as ADSL, VDSL and G.SHDSL. VDSL can offer up to 54 mbps but is limited by
distance. G.SHDSL can offer up to 4.3 mbps in both directions which appeals to corporate organizations. Marketbridge also can also bond mutliple DSL circuits together via existing Cisco equipment - a trade secret that very few (if any) providers know how to do (some providers offer load-balancing but this is not same). |
| LAN Extension Services |
| LAN Extension also known by other carriers as various other names is simply technology to either
extend your LAN or offer you fast dependable access to the Internet running at 10 or 100 mbps.
When used to extend your LAN, the carrier extends the LAN by linking your locations via ATM virtual
circuits (in some cases, frame-relay). No routing occurs. Frames are switched at extremely high-speeds
from one point to the other. This technology is ideal for medium to large organizations who require
high-speed secure communications from many offices to a headquarters (hub and spoke topology).
Marketbridge works with large carriers to provide and fully support the service.
When used as an access to the Internet, Marketbridge terminates the ATM virtual circuit from the originating point into its facilities at 151 Front St. in Toronto. |
| Wireless Service |
| Wireless can be a precarious technology. Some providers will sell you solutions and lock you into a technology that does not work properly. However, carefully engineered, wireless is a very inexpensive alternative to LAN Extension or other types of expensive circuits. Wireless can operate in both licensed spectrum which is very reliable and unlicensed spectrum which can be much less reliable. Marketbridge can help you decide on which technology is best suited to your organization based on various factors such as distance, possible sources of interference along the path, type of data being sent, etc. |
| Facilities and Transit Bandwidth |
| Marketbridge holds facilities at 151 Front St. in Toronto. We can colocate your servers and offer you transit bandwidth very inexpensively. |
| Voice Over IP Services |
| VOIP is a technology that packetizes your voice and essentially turns into data packets. VOIP is very sensitive
to delays and must be carefully engineered. Although technology has greatly advanced such as the introduction of
Differentiated Services Code Point for packet prioritization, mixing data and voice can always be problematic.
For large scale deployments, we can help you carefully engineer your network to minimize echo, delay, etc. (we can't tell you all
our trade secrets here).
VOIP is also a great alternative for business phone lines. It is very expensive to get a new phone line in the office ranging from $200 to $300 for installation fees. With VOIP, install charges are minimal or non-existant. |
